Power of Pomegranate

“An apple a day keeps the doctor away!” – says the famous proverb.

While Indian parents have focused on fruits like apples, mangoes and oranges, certain fruits are not taken up for kids. Pomegranate is one of them. We would like to put a spotlight on the benefits of pomegranate through this blog. As you read further, you will realise why.

  1. Derived from French “pomme garnet” which means seeded apple; Pomegranate is believed to be native to Persia and the Himalayas of Northern India.

  10. It is also prominently depicted in Roman mosaic and Greek mythology. No wonder they are richly used in Mediterranean cuisine 
  11. There are endless uses of pomegranates. You can consume them as fruit or add them as part of food
  12. Salads with pomegranate get a little bit of sweetness and juice making them more palatable
  13. Pomegranate juice is rich in iron and especially good for women
  14. Pomegranate molasses are used in dishes like eggplants, chicken and useful for glazing the dishes too.
  15. Pomegranate is useful in making desserts and coloring agents also.
